For more than 8 years we have worked with communities, donors and strategic partners to create opportunities that provide a better future for vulnerable children. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of people like you.
We work with children between the ages of 6 and 18. Applying the Cognifit tests to determine their level of social, emotional, physical and cognitive well-being. To then make personalized intervention plans that help them achieve the level of development expected for their age.

We Do?
More than 1,380 boys and girls in the villages of Fagua and Tiquiza, in the city of Chía, are in situations of vulnerability such as: poverty, malnutrition, abandonment, deficits in their physical, cognitive, psychological and social areas, being exposed to scourges such as drugs, gangs, human trafficking, forced displacement, prostitution, sexual abuse, mistreatment, suicide and lack of opportunities.
From the Esser Foundation, we promote the integral development of each girl and boy (individually) so that they can transform their lives and be leaders who impact their environment.
Each girl and boy interact from their own context with experts, detecting their real needs, thus developing resilience and generating solutions while transforming their conditions of poverty and impacting their family and community.
For that, we enhance their self-esteem, integrity, perspective, cognitive development and empowerment; We provide them with tools that allow them an integral development and experience life in its fullness.
Food and good nutrition are vital during all stages of development of girls and boys in vulnerable situations. It is an essential factor that helps improve health, growth, proper physical development, education, and learning abilities and can even save lives.
It is important for them to receive nutritional support, evaluation and treatment by paediatricians, as well as medical specialists according to their needs, and spaces such as the soccer school and other physical activities.
Our goal is to help the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience the fullness of life. Working on all areas of their well-being, physical, psychological, emotional, cognitive and spiritual.
In the cognitive area, we support them with sensory stimulation sessions, individualized training in memory, attention and perception, and personalized sessions for the development of literacy and mathematics.
In the area of psychology: we carry out personalized psychological interventions, mentoring, group workshops and outdoor training activities.
In the social area: we provide them with participation in social and community activities, self-awareness workshops and interaction with the environment, field trips, cultural outings, and contextualization activities.
We move forward with the families in individual and group processes, where we work on issues such as parenting guidelines, interpersonal relationships, prevention of intrafamilial violence through personalized counselling, referrals to specialists, development groups and psychosocial interventions, and schools for parents.

Our initial field of action are the Tiquiza and Fagua villages in the city of Chía, Colombia, where it is estimated that there are around 1,380 boys and girls in situations of vulnerability and extreme poverty.
